Athletic Background: I never played on any school teams but worked at a skating rink through most of high school. Mainly worked birthday parties and snack bar, but would sometimes do rental counter and floor guard. During the weekends I occasionally would dress up like a giant, yellow kangaroo, named Roller Roo, and skate around the skating floor. I had kids constantly pulling on my tail so maybe that is where I get my balance from!
Origin of Skater Name: My name is Kate and a co-worker came up with a derby name for me almost immediately when I said I wanted to join the league.
