The Steel City Derby Demons are looking for a few good women!  If you’re interested in becoming a derby girl and skating with us, we will be holding tryouts on Sunday, March 7, 2010.

Potential skaters must be female, at least 21 years old, and have solid skating skills.  In order to try out, you must attend a pre-tryout bootcamp in order to get a better grasp on what we are all about.

The pre-tryout bootcamp is Saturday, February 20 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Potential recruits are also invited to watch one of our practices.  Our open practice dates are:  February 25th, March 2nd and March 4th.  If you wish to come watch one of our practices you must contact recruitment first.

Other requirements: Skaters must wear safety gear including helmet, mouth guard, wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads.  Rental skates and pads will be available at the rink at no cost if needed but our pad supply is limited so if you have equipment of your own, please bring it!  Affordable mouth guards can be purchased at any sporting goods store.
