Attention Roller Derby Fans!

Roller Derby is an expensive sport, requiring the purchase of skates and accessories, protective equipment, league dues and insurance costs.  Our rollergirls can always use a helping hand.  Introducing the Steel City Derby Demons’ Adopt-A-Rollergirl program. 

What is the Adopt-a-Rollergirl Program?

This program enables companies, businesses, bands and private individuals to contribute directly to a Derby Demon’s roller derby career.  Along with your donation easing the financial strain of participating in this growing sport, it will also provide your adopted rollergirl with the important knowledge that Pittsburghers care.

How Does Adoption Work?

For less than the cost of purchasing a daily newspaper or cup of coffee, you can adopt a Derby Demon.  For $150 a year, you help your adopted rollergirl meet all of her financial requirements for the league.  The benefits of adopting a rollergirl don’t end with the satisfaction of knowing you’re making a difference in her life.  In exchange for your generous contribution, you receive a plaque designating you as an official participant in the Adopt-a-Rollergirl program, a picture of your rollergirl and, as a special bonus, your adopted rollergirl will make an appearance at your business*.  This can include activities such as guest bartending to rollerskating around the city handing out flyers to advertise your business or an upcoming event.
